About the Association
How ASTI is constituted, governed and held accountable, and how interests and commercial relationships are declared.
Documents are published as they are formally adopted by Council and the membership.
The Society's constitution sets out its objects, membership categories, Council structure, election arrangements, meetings and the process for amendment. The constitution is approved by the membership and will be published in full here once formally adopted.
ASTI is governed by an elected Council, supported by standing committees for education, research and innovation. Council is responsible for strategy, finances, appointments and the Society's published positions. Committees report to Council and operate under written terms of reference.
All Council members, committee members, faculty, judges and authors are required to declare relevant interests, including financial relationships with commercial organisations, advisory roles, shareholdings and intellectual property. Declarations are recorded, reviewed and published in summary form. Individuals withdraw from decisions where a material interest exists.
Commercial support for an event, programme or resource is disclosed clearly wherever that activity appears. Support does not confer endorsement, does not influence educational content, and does not grant access to member data.
The Society will publish an annual report covering activities, membership, finances and governance. Reports will be available for download from this page following approval at the Annual General Meeting.
ASTI processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. The Society collects the minimum information necessary, holds membership records securely, and does not publish member contact details. Members can update communication preferences, export their information or request deletion from their dashboard.
