ASTI Medical Student Essay Prize 2027

A UK essay prize for medical students on surgery, surgical technology, AI and innovation. Opens 1 April 2027 for students on a recognised medical degree.

About this competition

Entrants are invited to submit an original essay of no more than 2,000 words addressing the role of technology and innovation in the future of surgical care.

Eligibility

Open to students enrolled on a recognised medical degree programme at the time of submission.

What to submit

An essay of no more than 2,000 words, submitted as PDF or DOCX, with an abstract of up to 250 words.
